We offer exciting, rewarding outdoor adventure education for youth ages 12-18 ranging in length from 5-20 days. Teen Wilderness Adventures combine one or more outdoor activities--like hiking, rock climbing, backpacking, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, --with spectacular destinations.
Stargazing from a mountaintop, splashing in an icy waterfall, or telling jokes up a steep trail- these are all elements for the perfect introduction to backpacking. On this course you will learn how to live in the backcountry - hiking on trails over mountains and through forests, cooking and setting up camp each night, navigating, and honing your leadership skills. You will also have the opportunity to think about and discuss the history of the White Mountain National Forest and people's relationship to public lands more broadly. This course will begin and end at the Pinkham Notch Visitor Center.
