    Overview

    This camp is designed for the beginner that has a passion for horses. Emphasizing safety first, the aim of this camp is to build confidence in each camper while they learn to handle, care for and ride horses. Other topics that will be covered will be horse behavior, activities based on studies that tell us a little more about how horses think and what naturally motivates them to learn. Finally, education will be offered in horse anatomy, horse tack, grooming/handling and riding.

    Sample Schedule: Camp runs from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Thursday. 8:30-1 on Friday. • 8:30-9:30 AM - Horse Behavior Activities • 9:30-10:30 AM - Horse Education: Anatomy, tack, grooming/handling • 10:30-10:45 AM - Break/Snack • 10:45 AM - 12:15 PM – Riding • 12:30 - 1:30 PM – Lunch • 1:30 – 2:30 PM Horse Behavior Activity • 2:30 - 3:30 PM Horse Themed Arts & Crafts • 3:30 – 4:15 PM Horse Care
