Education First offers scholarships and professional coaching to students from schools with low college application rates. EF Seattle provides immersive English learning and university pathway programs. With over $1,000,000 awarded since 1996, our mission is to facilitate education's transformative power.
Education First is committed to transforming educational opportunities for students from high schools with traditionally low college application rates. Since 1996, we have proudly awarded over $1,000,000 in scholarships to deserving students, empowering them to pursue their academic dreams. Our offerings include two annual $5,000 college scholarships in each chapter city, with an additional $5,000 scholarship available to Seattle schools, courtesy of a generous local sponsor. Scholarships are flexible, valid for up to seven years post-graduation, and applicable to tuition or book expenses.
Beyond financial assistance, Education First enriches the college journey by providing recipients with professional college coaching. This mentorship helps students navigate the complexities of higher education, ensuring they are well-prepared for success. To apply, students must be seniors at participating high schools, including Chief Sealth, Cleveland, and Rainier Beach in Seattle, with the application deadline set for March 15, 2025.
In addition to our scholarship program, Education First operates EF Seattle, a distinguished English language school renowned for its immersive learning experience. The school is celebrated for its comfortable environment, comprehensive facilities, and diverse activities that enhance English proficiency and foster friendships. We also offer university pathway programs designed to prepare students for American undergraduate or graduate degrees while focusing on language acquisition.
Our commitment to education extends to high school study abroad opportunities, allowing students to broaden their horizons and gain valuable international perspectives. At Education First, we believe in the transformative power of education and strive to make it accessible to all.
