Trident Academy is a K-12 independent school in Mount Pleasant that, for nearly fifty years, has used the individualized, multi-sensory Orton-Gillingham approach to help transform the lives of students with dyslexia and/or other learning differences.
Trident Academy is a K-8 independent school and Center for Learning Differences Education located in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. For more than 40 years, The School for Language-Based Learning Differences has used the Orton-Gillingham approach to help students who have dyslexia and other learning differences. The School for Aspergers/HFA has highly trained faculty who work collaboratively with specialists in occupational, speech, and behavior therapy. Both Schools prepare students academically and socially to transition and thrive in a conventional learning environment. The Center for Learning Differences Education trains teachers, educates parents, and advocates to the community on behalf of children with functional and language based learning differences.
