    Overview

Founded in 1898, Principia is a coeducational, independent, college-preparatory school for Christian Scientists, serving students from infancy through grade 12.

Engaging learners in vigorous, thought-provoking, and thought-expanding experiences through academic, co-curricular, and community activities—thats how we fulfill Principias mission. And the result? Graduates who—in the words of founder Mary Kimball Morgan—are equipped to live lives of useful service and strong purpose and to think clearly, vigorously, fearlessly, tolerantly, unselfishly.

Young learners can begin in our Acorn Program for infants and toddlers, moving on to nurturing preschool and kindergarten experiences in the Early Childhood Program. Principias Lower School (grades 1_5), Middle School (grades 6_8), and Upper School (grades 9_12) offer a continuum of opportunities for academic advancement and character growth. Our increasingly query-based, experiential curriculum, coupled with the thoughtful use of technology, empowers students at every level to be confident problem solvers.
