    Overview

The Lewis School is a private, non-profit school for persons K-12 with language-based learning differences related to dyslexia, auditory processing and attention.

We are a small, private, non-profit school for students with language-based learning struggles related to dyslexia, auditory processing and attention. Our structure, mission and history have led us to the understanding that, just as students have learning differences, we have teaching differences.

It is through our multisensory, arts-integrated systematic and sequential approach that we have seen remarkable strides made by our students. The intensive instruction in the multisensory mechanics of language occurs in every classroom at the start of each school day which is followed by a comprehensive curriculum that mirrors and exceeds the New Jersey State Core Curriculum Standards.
