    Overview

    The Gramon School?serves students?with Developmental Disabilities?ages?14 to 21?focusing on High School education and Transition services. 

     

    Gramon School offers academic subjects including reading, mathematics, language arts literacy, social studies, science, health and life skills. The overall approach to instruction is eclectic, with the individual needs of each student being central to our instructional approaches. Gramon School provides comprehensive learning settings ranging from ABA and Discrete Trial Teaching to more traditional learning programs. All subjects are taught using a variety of instructional methods, including Discrete Trial Teaching, large and small group instruction, and approaches including multiple and natural contexts, cued-structured modality, balanced literacy and differentiated instruction.

    Gramon School uses a variety of curriculum resources. In Language Arts textbooks include: McDougal Little Bridges to Learning, Pearson AGS Globe Exploring Literature & American Literature, and McGraw Hill Language Arts Today. Social Studies materials include: Pearson AGS US History I & II, Pearson AGS Globe World History, Pearson AGS Economics, and Pearson AGS US Government. Mathematics resources include: Pearson AGS Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry and Globe Fearon Practical Math for Consumers.
