Notre Dame Academy is a vibrant, Catholic, college-preparatory learning community, sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. The Academy guides young women in their personal faith formation, challenges students to pursue academic excellence, and encourages social responsibility.
NDA is a vibrant learning community where young women come together with committed educational mentors to develop their faith, character, and scholarship. We are an academic community where dialogue, research, and experience are at the heart of the learning process. We are also a faith community where the pursuit of truth and the development of a strong ethical foundation are encouraged.
Saint Julie Billiart, the founder of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, encouraged the first sisters to "Train up strong women" and we continue to take these words to heart today. The Notre Dame Academy graduate is prepared to pursue her education at the university level and has been formed in gospel imperatives which influence her faith and community involvement.
Our teachers and staff are not only academic professionals but role models and mentors as well. They are life long learners and active members of their communities. They are side by side with our students in the libraries and laboratories, the soup kitchens and women's shelters.
