    Overview

Island Pacific Academy is an accredited college preparatory K-12 school in Kapolei, Hawaii. IPA committed to high personal and academic standards for its students. Our teachers share a passion for guiding the intellectual and personal development of each child.

The foundation for IPA’s rigorous academic programs begin in elementary grades to enable students to advance to college-level academic expectations by the secondary years.

Upper School curriculum emphasizes skills development and the values of problem solving, preparing students for whatever post-secondary educational challenge they choose. The Upper School is committed to the research process, to linguistic, cultural, and aesthetic literacies and the on-going exploration of serious moral and ethical issues that help students shape their value systems. Upper School students work with faculty to seek a balance in the many academic, artistic, athletic, community and social demands challenging the young men and women of the school. Central to the schools program is a commitment to educate students in all areas of human endeavor, including those involving social justice and self-awareness. Ultimately, we serve unique individuals, each with gifts and strengths that, given the right environment and encouragement from passionate, educated, caring adults, will enable each student to live a life of purpose and value.

After school and evening classes are offered on campus for students and adults. The offerings change throughout the year and include classes taught by IPA staff and by outside instructors. Classes have included: Art (K-2, 3-5), Choir (K-5), Driving School (for ages 15-16), Hula (K-5, 6-adult), Karate (ages 6 and up, adult), Soccer (K-2, 3-5), and String Orchestra (4-8, 9-12).
