    Overview

Gersh Academys mission is to provide an accepting, nurturing and supportive environment in which children on the autism spectrum can gain the knowledge and skills needed to navigate successfully through life. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow and thrive in the school setting.

At Gersh Academy, we do not subscribe to one style of teaching or approach to learning, as we understand that each child is unique. Our teachers identify the type of thinker and learner each student is and develops a program for them to insure success. Whether a student is a photo realistic, pattern, verbal or auditory thinker, we customize a program that meets their needs. Through a myriad of approaches, we teach, support and guide students to meet their own individual potential and personal best.

We employ a collaborative approach, creating a team of professionals, all focused on an agreed upon program and approach that works best for each student. Daily meetings and constant communication between staff and parents, working together in concert toward the same goal, has proven to be very successful in our students growth.

We never waiver in our ultimate mission: to provide our different thinkers with the education they deserve, giving them the tools they need so that they may lead successful lives and enjoy meaningful relationships. At Gersh Academy, our children are recognized for their potential and celebrated for their differences. Our students have a whole team of experts in their fields behind them, supporting their goals and cheering them on.
