    Overview

Stride Career Prep offers tuition-free, public, online high schools in 19 states that educate today's middle and high school students for the jobs and careers of tomorrow. We also offer one private school option for students not served by one of our tuition-free schools.

Stride Career Prep offers all online high school programs that combines traditional courses with industry-relevant, career-focused electives.

Our model was built using research-based education best practices and program design. Coursework is project based, which creates a similar environment to what you'll experience on the job. You'll also be able to learn the professional skills and prepare to earn the certifications you'll need to succeed in the modern work environment. Our courses and collaboration space are mostly online, so learning can take place wherever you have an internet connection. You'll participate in live, teacher-led online sessions called Class Connects, where you'll also interact with other students. You'll access courses from the Online High School platform, which features easy-to-read schedules, the curriculum, and assignments—all in one place.

Stride Career Prep offers 25+ career pathways* across five distinct career fields: Information Technology (IT), Health and Human Services, Business, Manufacturing and the Trades, and Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources.

You can choose to commit to one career pathway from start to finish, or spend all four years of high school exploring different career paths. Each pathway starts with an exploration class, which allows you to dip your toes into projects that help you understand the ins and outs of a career field.
