    Overview

Augusta Prep, founded in 1960, is a non-sectarian, college preparatory private school in Augusta, GA that educates students from age 2 through 12th grade.

It is not only the academic rigor that distinguishes Augusta Prep from other schools, but also the commitment to honor and integrity. Opportunities to develop character and self-respect regularly present themselves to students. Augusta Prep employs an honor code, which demands nobility among the student body, and it is this nobility that encourages both respect and responsibility. The honor code allows teachers and students both freedoms not found elsewhere. Teachers may leave the room during a test, or give a take-home assignment with a confidence that students will be honest. Students of all grade levels earn additional privileges through demonstration of responsibility and academic performance.
