    Overview

The Academy focuses primarily on the stimulation of maximum intellectual development in a positive learning environment for K-12 grades. Students are given the opportunity to apply critical and reflective thinking and to engage in learning activities which promote the development of their natural curiosity.

Arendell Parrott Academy’s Lower School program establishes a solid academic foundation that gives students the tools for success throughout their educational experience. Small class sizes allow teachers to provide an accelerated program of study. The Middle School curriculum builds on the foundation established in Lower School and guides the expanding interests of adolescents. We encourage each Middle School student to set academic goals that fully realize his or her potential. All Upper School class schedules are individually prepared to ensure each student is enrolled in courses that are best suited to his or her academic interests and talents. Over 95 percent of Upper School classes are honors level or AP level courses. Independent study is offered for the highly motivated and academically prepared student.
