      9-Week Field Guide Course

Taking part in the 9-week field guide course was one of the most enriching and transformative experiences I've ever had. From the very first day, it was clear that this program was designed not only to educate but to inspire a deep connection with the natural world.

The course covered a wide range of topics essential to field guiding, including animal behavior, plant identification, birding, tracking, geology, and ecology. What stood out most was the hands-on approach-daily game drives, bush walks, and practical sessions that brought the theory to life. Learning to identify bird calls, track animals on foot, and interpret the environment with a guide's eye was both challenging and deeply rewarding.

The instructors were passionate, highly knowledgeable, and supportive. They pushed us to grow while always prioritizing safety and respect for nature. The camaraderie among the students was another highlight-spending nine weeks together in the bush created strong bonds and lifelong friendships.

Accommodation and facilities were basic but comfortable, and being immersed in nature 24/7 added to the authenticity of the experience. Waking up to the sounds of the wild every morning was unforgettable.

By the end of the course, I felt confident in my knowledge and skills, and ready to pursue guiding as a career or simply be a more informed and responsible explorer of the natural world. Whether you're looking to start a career in wildlife tourism or simply want to deepen your connection to nature, I highly recommend this course.
