    Overview

Project Belonging is a free, online offering by Teachers College, Columbia University that is available to students that are interested in becoming ''Belonging Ambassadors'' in their respective communities. To learn about belonging is about becoming someone who understands and knows how to navigate concepts such as resilience, storytelling, self-awareness, stereotyping, of course, belonging, and much more that is crucial in succeeding the challenges of our modern and globalizing world.

Students will participate in five hours of engaging and interactive asynchronous online lessons. Because of its asynchronous nature, it is ideal and flexible for students to embark on during their summer vacation in preparation of the new school year. The training will introduce them to the core concepts of Educational Displacement. Students will learn about the importance of belonging and resilience in school settings and discuss how to build bridges with communities. The online training is led by Executive Director of Project Belonging, Dr. Amra Sabic-El-Rayess and the course's interactive elements are designed to ensure student engagement.
