    Overview

The ámaxa student impact program is a one-of-a-kind remote volunteer and leadership program designed specifically for high school students. We match you to a team of other students from around the world and a mentor who will guide you in implementing a real solution over 3 months.

You can choose to help solve one of the 8 high-impact projects below!

You can choose to help solve one of these 8 high-impact volunteer projects:

    •  Provide $2000 of urgent medical supplies to Ukrainians on the frontlines.
    • Light up homes with solar lights for 50 grandmothers in rural Uganda.
    • Expand educational opportunities for Palestinian students with remote events.
    • Provide tuition for 3 children to school in Liberia by enrolling them for just $80 each.
    • Plant 10 trees in local communities around the world and measure the carbon they will sequester throughout their lifetimes.
    • Deploy 1 digital library (loaded on Raspberry Pis) to a refugee camp to give refugees access to crucial educational materials.
    • Build an ambulance to transport mothers in labor to the hospital (meaning they don't have to walk!) in rural Ghana.
    • Launch 3 Mental Health First Aid programs high schools to take steps to prevent teen suicide.

    Here's how it works:

    1. Apply to the Fall Cohort by August 20 by completing a short application.
    2. Schedule an interview with the ámaxa team during the interview period.
    3. If you are accepted, pay the $150 program fee before September 1.
    4. We match you to a remote team of students around the world and an expert coach to guide you.
    5. Meet remotely with your team over 3 months to accomplish your project's goal. Attend remote events with other ámaxa students and guest speakers along the way!
