    Overview

The College's five campuses are located in industrial, rural and metropolitan areas where a major share of Michigan's technical and skilled occupations is located. WCCCD places a strong emphasis on occupational and career programs, and traditional college and university transfer programs.

Wayne County Community College District's mission is to help you achieve your goals through excellent and accessible services, diverse experiences and globally competitive educational programs. We are proud of the WCCCD faculty and staff who work diligently throughout the five campuses, the Michigan Institute for Public Safety Education, and University Center to deliver high quality instruction, support extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, and provide a nurturing environment for all persons within this vibrant learning community.

Serving more than 70,000 credit and non-credit students each year through 93 degree and certificate programs along with dynamic continuing education and workforce programs, the impact of our work extends beyond the 32 cities and townships in our service area. Engaged through a variety of distance learning modalities, WCCCD students can be found around the globe. Our Study Abroad program has extended the classroom for hundreds of students with opportunities to visit and study in sister institutions around the world. Recognized as the community's college we are the place where learning leads to a better life.
