    Overview

The RV Technical Institute offers hands-on and virtual training to become a nationally recognized, certified RV technician. With flexible programs and step-by-step instruction in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and more, students earn Level 1–4 certifications that open doors to in-demand trade careers. Whether joining a dealership, service center, or working as a mobile tech, RVTI provides a clear pathway to a rewarding future in the growing RV industry.

The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) offers the only industry-endorsed curriculum dedicated to training and certifying RV technicians at every level of their career. Its comprehensive curriculum was developed with RV manufacturers and industry experts to ensure students gain the latest, most relevant skills to succeed in this fast-growing field.

    Program Highlights:

    • Four Certification Levels: Start at Level 1 with fundamental knowledge and progress through advanced diagnostics and repairs at Level 4.
    • Hands-On Training: Students work directly on RV components—including electrical, plumbing, propane, appliances, slide-outs, and chassis systems—to gain real-world experience.
    • Flexible Learning: Choose in-person courses at RVTI's headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana, or through authorized learning partners nationwide. A self-paced, online program is also available.
    • Career Readiness: Graduates are prepared for immediate employment at dealerships and service centers or to launch their own business as a mobile RV technician.
    • Industry Demand: With millions of RVs on the road and a nationwide shortage of trained technicians, certified graduates enter a career with strong job security, competitive pay, and opportunities to travel or work anywhere they desire.

RVTI equips young adults with more than technical expertise—it provides a pathway into the outdoor recreation industry, empowering them to join a community that values adventure, problem-solving, and independence.
