    Overview

Northern Vermont University is a two-campus institution of higher education that combines the best of our campuses’ nationally recognized liberal arts and professional programs. At Northern Vermont University, our goal is to guide curious, motivated, and engaged students on their paths to success and their places in the world.

As an NVU student, you’ll enroll at either our Lyndon or Johnson campus. If you’re a varsity athlete, you’ll play for your campus’ team – either the Lyndon Hornets or the Johnson Badgers. But while you’ll choose a home base, you will be able to take classes at both Lyndon and Johnson, on campus and virtually through our online and telepresence classrooms.

And you’ll see the benefits right away. By combining more than 200 years of history in liberal arts and professional learning, NVU offers expanded access to a faculty with a broader and deeper depth of expertise and experience. You’ll collaborate with and learn from peers and staff on both campuses. And your alumni network will include Lyndon and Johnson graduates all over the world who will help you get your foot in the door to put your degree immediately to work in your profession.

Our campuses both offer in-demand degrees in business, criminal justice, education, psychology and human services, and much more. We also have programs and disciplines unique to each campus.

Northern Vermont University is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE).
