    Overview

Grand View is a not-for-profit liberal arts university offering bachelor's and master's degrees. It is a private institution affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. It doesn't matter if you ask a long-time professor, recent graduate, passionate alum, or a fresh-eyed first-year student. Pick a member of the Grand View community at random and ask him or her what it means to be a Viking, and you will most likely get a one-word answer: family.

The campus abounds with opportunities for involvement and leadership of all kinds from clubs to athletics and service organizations. Grand View is large enough to offer an array of sports, clubs and other options, yet small enough for every student to be involved in a personal way and to take a leadership role if the student wants to.

Housed in a city unlike any other, our students gain an education unlike any other. The whole city is our classroom, and our students emerge not just with a diploma, but with experiences that could only happen at Grand View University. Whether you want to follow in the footsteps of giants or forge a new path, this is the place to start.
