George Mason University’s School of Art is a collaborative academic and professional community focused on advancing creativity through traditional and new media applied to varying social contexts. Programs include Photography, Sculpture, Painting, Drawing, New Media, Graphic Design, and Printmaking/Book Arts.

Throughout their time at GMU's School of Art, students will have the opportunity to learn from not only our expert staff but also industry professions who visit campus to teach and engage with students during their classes. The school's 88,000 square foot award-winning art and design building enables students to explore and excell at whichever medium they choose. Off campus, D.C.'s proximity is defintiely a perk for an Art student; world-class museums, galleries, art fests and more are just around the corner.
