    Overview

Founded in 1885, Dakota Wesleyan University is a four-year, residential, liberal arts university affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The university offers over 40 academic and preprofessional programs of study. Central to our mission are four core values: Learning, Leadership, Faith and Service. Our focus on teaching, program personalization and strengths-based learning yields exceptional placement of students into graduate schools and the workplace.

DWU makes three promises to its student body: to innovate, build communities, and create opportunities. DWU embraces "John Wesley's Christ-centered model of uniting knowledge, reason, and vital faith" in all aspects of a college experience. While students on DWU's campus are dedicated to getting the most of their college experience, they are also dedicated to service and making connections within their community; all student organizations and athletic teams participate in one service project per semester.

No matter your current circumstances or your future plans, there is a place for you and your career aspirations at DWU. Top majors include Nursing, Business, Psychology, and Education.
