    Overview

The primary mission of Converse College is the liberal education of undergraduate women in a residential setting. Converse offers challenging undergraduate majors, exciting study abroad opportunities, co-ed graduate programs, and a unique Converse II program for women 24 and older.

With so much activity on campus, your "free" time will be anything but. Our campus life calendar is packed with events and activities, some of which are sponsored by our many clubs and organizations. Choose from options as diverse as our competitive sports or our equally competitive Model Arab League. Attend a dance party, a classical music recital or rock concert, or participate in a faculty challenge fundraiser. And that doesnt even include all of the things going on in and around Spartanburg, from Jazz on the Square to wilderness adventures with GOLS to Spring Fling. And with seven colleges and universities, this college town is home to some 13,000 college students.
