    Overview

    AIC is a private, coeducational, four-year comprehensive institution with liberal arts at the core of its academic offerings. The college has more than 35 majors and is organized into schools of Arts, Education and Sciences; Business Administration; Health Sciences; and Continuing Education.

    American International College was founded on July 18, 1885. It was chartered by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on September 18, 1885 with the purpose of educating international immigrants who were coming to America through New York. That's where our commitment to diversity, flexibility, and understanding began. They came to America to pursue a dream and AIC was founded to ensure their success.

    Today, AIC is a private, coeducational, four-year comprehensive institution located in the geographic center of Springfield, Massachusetts. We are interracial, interfaith, and international. Liberal arts serves as the core in all our academic offerings. The college is organized into schools of Business, Arts and Sciences;Health Sciences (Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy); and Graduate and Adult Education.
