Through its arts and educational programs and its permanent collection, the Swedish American Museum interprets the immigrant experience for children and adults and promotes an appreciation of contemporary Swedish-American culture.
Are you a history buff? Do you like children? Or are you just a fan of Museums so much you never want to leave them?
Consider volunteering at the Swedish American Museum! Volunteers have always been an integral part of the Museum since its inception in 1976, and we truly value their hard work.
We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available to suit varying interests. For history lovers, serving as docents and helping in the permanent exhibit is a great opportunity. If you like children, then volunteer in our Brunk Children’s Museum of Immigration where you can help with field trips and classroom activities. The Museum is always hosting special events, workshops, and lectures providing cultural and educational programming to the community. New volunteers are always welcome!
