Insect Ambassador Volunteers and Q?rius/Q?rius jr: a discovery room Volunteers
Come join a team of Insect Ambassadors at the Smithsonian's Insect Zoo and Butterfly Pavilion! Share your interest in butterflies, insects, and the natural world with the museum's diverse visitors. Within these exhibits you will find several hundred tropical butterflies and over 50 species of arthropods from all over the world.
Are you interested in nature? Are you curious? Consider joining our dedicated Q?rius/Q?rius jr. volunteer team that encourages visitor exploration in fun, experimental, and creative activities. Through real-world questions with scientists, and interactions with thousands of authentic objects, visitors can unleash their curiosity with surprising results.
-Must be 18 or older
-Must pass a background investigation prior to training
-Must attend all Training Sessions
-Minimum Time Requirement: Summer Volunteer Program is May-August
-Minimum Hours: 8 hours per Week over the Summer
