Mission Statement

Our five pantries distribute nutritious food to all who are in need, regardless of race, income, gender, age or religion. We serve over 7,800 individuals per year.

Volunteers are needed to work shifts our five food pantries, as well as to pack and deliver food packages to low-income households across Greater Philadelphia. Pantry locations: Jewish Community Services Building (Center City); Brodsky Enrichment Center (Main Line); KleinLife (Northeast Philadelphia); Congregation Tifereth Israel of Lower Bucks County (Bucks County); and Beth Sholom Congregation (Elkins Park). Once a year, a community Food Sort is also organized following the High Holiday Food Drive. B’nai Mitzvah projects welcome!

Over 11,000 Jewish households in our region face food insecurity. About 1 in 7 Jewish households have an annual income below $25,000, and 28% of all Jewish households report they either cannot pay for basic expenses or are just managing to meet basic needs.

It doesn’t take a big commitment to make a big impact. The people we serve enjoy meeting with and talking to our volunteers. Any help you can provide would be a great service to individuals and families in need.
