Mission Statement

Families for Depression Awareness is a national nonprofit organization helping families recognize and cope with depressive disorders, get well, and prevent suicides.

TEEN SPEAKER PROGRAM

We are looking for teen and young adult speakers who have experienced depression and bipolar disorder. Our teen speakers travel to schools, community organizations, and businesses around Massachusetts to share their personal stories to offer education and hope. These events are geared toward teens/students and/or adults.

Volunteers gain public speaking experience, media training, community service, and peer-to-peer support.

Volunteers are integral to the success of our organization.  You can help us by:

Filling out a volunteer form indicating how you want to be involved (e.g., distribute materials, be a media contact, provide a Family Profile)
