Classics Summer Programs
With a foundation in classical antiquity and the middle ages, and a focus on learning through language, the classics summer programs elevate a students' education no matter what field of study they pursue in college or their chosen profession beyond. These programs often involve travel abroad to prestigious foreign universities or homes stays, or to various U.S. cities. They can combine Greek or Latin lessons with cultural immersion and excursions to historic sites. By interacting with archaeology, monuments and art, students learn through experience as well as in the classroom. Coursework centers on the spoken and written word based on the foundations of classics: Grammar, logic and rhetoric. These high school and pre-college programs can also delve into the secondary aspects of classical education, such as arithmetic, geometry, music and anatomy. Offered as both credit and non-credit, and residential and commuter sessions.
