6 Easy Ways to Deal with Stress

If you find yourself becoming stressed over the idea of college searching and job new beginnings, don't worry!
Here are 6 easy ways to cope with that stress:
1. Stop stressing about stress.
Admit that you're stressed and learn how to deal with it. The best question to ask yourself is, "What can I do right now to fix it?" If you can do something about it, do it. If it is out of your control, realize that worrying will not solve anything.
2. Quiet time.
Finding a few moments of peace and quiet might be just what you need to relax. This can allow your mind to recharge and get back on your usual routine. Find somewhere that you can just be alone to your thoughts.
3. A healthy snack.
While comfort foods seem appealing and provide temporary satisfaction, go eat something balanced and healthy, like fruits and veggies, whole grains, and protein.
4. Exercise.
It doesn't have to be long, it can mean a relaxing 30-minute walk while listening to music. Or grab a buddy for a motivational workout!
5. Social time.
Don't forget to take a break from studying to enjoy friends! Laughter can be the best medicine when handling stress. The comic relief releases happy endorphins and leave you in a better mood.
6. Fun.
Schoolwork just needs to get done--try to figure out how to make it more enjoyable. For example, if you have to read a long article or chapter, try placing small candies (like gummy bears) at the beginning of every other long paragraph, so when you finish one, you'll be rewarded from the next one.
