With dedicated Girls and Boys weekends, our Youth Development Weekend Camps are open to girls and boys ages 7 to 12 and take place on Miller School of Albemarle’s scenic 1,600-acre campus which boasts over 10 miles of student-built trails.
Riders will be able to develop their cycling skills in a fun, supportive environment with some of the area’s top mountain bikers.
For all beginner to lower-intermediate level cyclists between the ages of 7 and 12 out there, who love to ride their bikes and want to challenge themselves while learning new skills and having a blast with their peers: this is the camp for you! The Youth Development Boys and Girls Camps take place on weekends and are about as much fun as you can possible have on a bike. Days begin with basic skills work such as shifting and braking, and progress to corning and navigating obstacles before applying all of those new-found techniques on fun, singletrack trails. After two days of learning, laughing, and riding, the hope is that all campers never want to go a day without riding their bikes again!
The individual weekends are dedicated to boys or girls. Parents are encouraged to stay and participate.
