Every meeting will include special instruction by UMass instructors and guest lecturers, but students will be go beyond learning about what others have said. They will engage in discussion and debate about the ideas at hand, led by a group of undergraduate peer mentors. This will allow students to develop their own views about the nature and importance of their identity and its significance in a diverse world. Students won't just learn about philosophy; they will become philosophers by questioning everything.
