Discover Alabama's diverse natural history by participating in the 39th Annual Museum Expedition Camp! Participants will have the fun and unique opportunity to work with scientists in the field of paleontology as part of an actual scientific research project to explore the natural wonders of Alabama.
Students, teachers, and adults will spend a week at the Expedition field camp working with scientists to learn excavation techniques, laboratory procedures, and specimen identification. The Museum Expedition combines real exploration, with real science to create a unique experience and lasting friendships. Participants will have the opportunity to meet friends, explore new surroundings, and conduct field work in paleontology in Greene County, Alabama. We invite you to explore an area of rare opportunity as we dig into the past to gain a glimpse of what life was like in Cretaceous Alabama. Work side-by-side with paleontologists to discover important facets of Alabama's geologic history.
