We have a summer in Storrs for you!
UConn's Pre-College Summer, Digital Media: Web Design course provides high school students the opportunity to channel their creativity and immerse themselves in the world of web design at a nationally ranked public university campus.
Your future starts now.
Offered during Session 2, our Digital Media: Web Design course provides students with a foundational introduction to Web Design ideation, aesthetics, construction, and operation. Objectives for this course will be to achieve a basic understanding of HTML markup and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for the construction of a website while exploring the ideation, design and development with an emphasis on aesthetics and usability.
Come meet Brian Daley, Assistant Professor-in-Residence at UConn's School of Fine Arts. Daley joined the Digital Media & Design program in Fall 2017. Prior to becoming a full-time faculty member, Brian served as an adjunct lecturer for several years in the Web & Interactive Media Design concentration. For nearly 20 years, Brian has been creating for web and mobile platforms as a freelancer and a web developer with University Communications at the University of Connecticut. His work includes projects like the UConn homepage and UConn Health, as well as many other high-profile digital marketing campaigns and websites.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: After careful consideration and comprehensive discussions with many who are deeply invested in the health and education of our students, we have decided that the most responsible course of action is to cancel all Pre-College Summer 2020 sessions. Unfortunately, the Program's focus on providing a residential experience with hands-on courses does not make online learning a realistic or feasible option. For more information please visit this webpage. For any questions or concerns please email email@example.com.
