Overview

At Tufts, our Pre-College Programs offer ambitious high school students the opportunity to learn from renowned faculty and experience a rigorous academic environment at a leading higher education institution. Foster your student's artistic imagination in our SMFA intensives for high-schoolers this summer!

In the new SMFA Design Bootcamp students will spend a week this summer diving into the Adobe Creative Cloud software tools, hearing from professional graphic designers, and exploring the intersection of liberal arts and art education. This program is perfect for students interested marketing, communications, photo editing, or the graphic arts umbrella. Alternatively, in the SMFA Studio Art Intensive students will attend classes which include instruction to technical skills such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media; allowing you to build a portfolio of materially complex, intentional works of art. Taught by a team of qualified artists and educators, students will learn to work with new materials and deepen their understanding of familiar mediums, and make connections to bigger ideas.

SMFA Design Bootcamp: August 1-6, 2021 Program Cost: $2,000

SMFA Studio Art Intenstive: July 11-30, 2021 Program Cost: $4,200
