Join us on an incredible program as you cruise through Sorrento and along the Amalfi Coast. The knowledge of our incredible guides - the result of years spent living and studying in the country - allows you to enjoy a safe overseas experience filled with abundant options.
This teen travel adventure through Italy dives into the best Italy has to offer while giving back to the local community! Our first stop is the Cinque Terre, where we will join the complete our service project. Marvel at the picture-perfect coast of the Italian Riviera, with its five pastel-painted fishing towns nestled into the cliffside. A longstanding relationship between Travel For Teens and the local community of Monterosso allows our participants to work on meaningful service projects every year! We will work at a Capuchin monastery with the monks to help rebuild historic walls, work to restore the hiking trails that have been damaged and closed to the public, and help improve the facilities at the local schools. As if giving back weren’t rewarding enough, you’ll enjoy stunning Mediterranean vistas every day! After our time spent in the Cinque Terre, we’ll stop at a private Tuscan estate for a cooking lesson and winery tour (optional) and head to Rome to uncover what the Eternal City has to offer! Then we’ll spend the last few days of this program soaking up the sun in southern Italy’s hottest destination, the Amalfi Coast. The time is now to discover the best any summer program to Italy has to offer!

On this trip I had experienced one of the best summers of my life! It started in JFK airport where I met most of the people that were going on the trip with me, and everybody was so nice! It was a long flight and we jumped right into the action when we landed in Italy. Starting with a week of community service, which included maintaining and renovating a local elementary school, maintaining different trail sites, and helping out a monastery. Afterwards was a whirlwind of adventure, from Tuscany to Sorrento we visited different historic sites and spent a day on the water in a private boat! I have always loved traveling the world, but TFT really helped me hone the idea of being a traveler and NOT a tourist! The daily gelato was a plus too!
The Italy Service and Adventure trip was my first trip with Travel for Teens. It was an incredible and unforgettable experience. For the service aspect, my fellow travelers and I helped maintain a garden at a monastery and renovated an Italian elementary school. Then came the adventure! I regard some of these days as the best experiences of my life. For example, we visited historic sites such as Pompeii and took a boat ride up and down the Amalfi Coast. Overall, this trip taugh me what it means to be a traveler, not a tourist. It was an amazing opportunity for me to experience what Italian culture is like, and don't even get me started on the food! I will never be able to settle for American pasta again!
