The University of Georgia: Comic Book Pre-College

Athens, GA

Overview

In Comic Book 1 Camp, you'll work on developing your drawing and inking techniques, and learn how to create characters, write dialogue and develop a basic storyline.

You'll participate in guided activities and fun drawing games, designed to advance your technical skills and show you how fun art can be! Students will have the chance to sit in on special workshops, which are developed based on student needs and interests. Time will be spent each day on a final project of your own design, which will be scanned and published electronically in the Annual SAUGA Comic Book Anthology. Everyone works at their own pace, so both beginning and intermediate students are welcome. Most students attend this camp for several years before moving on to the advanced camp.
