For over 50 years, Syracuse University Summer College has been giving high school students the opportunity to explore their artistic, intellectual, and professional passions while experiencing college life. Our 40+ different programs reflect the richness and diversity of the majors and minors at Syracuse University.
The Fashion and Accessory Design is a two-week noncredit program that runs from July 13 to July 26, 2019. The class provides insight into the multi-faceted world of fashion and accessory design. Emphasis is placed on learning about how fashion design evolves, where ideas are generated, how a designer creates a collection for fashion or accessories, and the workings of the fashion industry.
Working closely with the professors each day, the fashion and accessories students will be sketching and creating samples. The course will culminate in a fashion presentation that will showcase the students' designs in an exciting and professional setting.
All programs and courses offered at Syracuse University Summer College are college-level and led by Syracuse University faculty and instructors. Field trips and activities on campus give students the opportunity to relax, have fun, and make new friends.
Residential students stay in a university residence hall and eat in a university dining hall. Students also have access to all of Syracuse University’s facilities, which include the library, recreation centers, and student centers. Room and board are included in the overnight summer program costs.
