Monteverde, Costa Rica
Tucked away in the heart of the highland cloud forest, the towns of Monteverde and Santa Elena offer SPI participants an ideal location to experience the authentic “tico” way of life. Monteverde’s lush hills provide a spectacular backdrop, and there is a plethora of outdoor activities that afford students the opportunity to improve their Spanish skills and immerse locally.
Flamingo Beach, Costa Rica
Flamingo Beach is renowned for its breathtakingly beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water and peaceful, small-town environment. Despite its quaint size, Flamingo offers students a vast array of activities; these include kayaking, surfing, swimming, horseback riding, snorkeling, nature hikes, and simply enjoying the natural wildlife! Flamingo is a perfect locale for practicing your Spanish, zip-lining through the rain forest, or just relaxing on the beach!

Your Day in Costa Rica
Morning: Breakfast with homestay, then participate in various cultural, elective, or volunteer service activities.
Afternoon: After lunch, attend interactive Spanish language & conversation courses.
