Maximize your test scores while experiencing the fun of camp. Campers will spend four hours a day in test prep classes.
SAT Prep Campers will attend four hours of class per day filled with instruction that will help prepare them for the SAT. Our teacher uses the College Board practice book with 10 real tests to help students kick-start their academic preparation for a college entrance exam. Students can also practice for the ACT test. We start by taking and scoring a full test, without the time limits, to see what content each student needs to work on. After reviewing that test, we do timed sections to see how the time pressure affects their performance. We discuss test-taking strategies aimed at maximizing scores, as well as the psychology behind a top performance. Each student has ample time to ask questions and receive personalized feedback on strengths and weaknesses, including an essay evaluation with specific corrections and suggestions for improvement. During breaks and free periods, campers enjoy waterfront offerings such as windsurfing, kayaking, and beach volleyball in addition to classic camp games like badminton, tetherball, and capture-the-flag.
