A camp for those interested in theater, singing and dance! For ages 10-16. Stoneleigh-Burnham is a place where students can explore many ways to use their voices and express themselves. The performing arts offer great opportunities for students to investigate the world around them, to process life events, and to cultivate meaning in their lives. At SBS, the performing arts classes are community-oriented, nonhierarchical, body-positive, and culturally relevant. They will also practice musicianship and dance technique skills, such as ear training, sight singing, ensemble improvisation, and expressive movement. Campers will work to improve upon skills that are important in both solo and ensemble performance. At the end of the week, students will share their learnings in an informal performance for their family and friends. Students will forge meaningful relationships with each other and most importantly, have fun!
