Here at Marist College's Center for Sports Communication, we pride ourselves on preparing motivated students to work in the dynamic field of sports media. Get a taste of what that experience is like this summer in Poughkeepsie, NY or in New York City, the media capital of the world.
As part of the Sports Communication Summer Pre-College program, you'll meet leaders in sports media and learn about the basic skills needed to get to where they are. Whether you are interested in writing, broadcasting, podcasting or production, you will get a taste of the field. You'll also attend sporting events and get behind-the-scenes access. In addition to all of that, we will discuss the headlines and the issues in sports, how they connect to history and finally how they connect to you, as an athlete or a fan, but more importantly as someone who wants to work in this industry.
