Marcus Lewis Day Camps: Horseback Camp
Overview
Campers are matched to a horse based on weight, ability and personality. Skills taught include grooming, horse handling safety, tacking up, and stable management. If your child is more advanced, they will focus more on ground work techniques, equine first aid, course design, jumping and dressage.
Certified instructors separate the campers into the appropriate riding groups and campers are matched to a specific horse based on the camper's weight, ability and personality. Skills taught at riding camp include grooming, horse handling safety, tacking up, and stable management. If your child is more advanced, he/she will focus more on advanced ground work techniques, equine first aid, advanced stable, course design, jumping and dressage techniques.
