    Overview

Lasting Adventures is a 501(c)(3) public benefit non-profit with a mission to foster environmental stewardship, teach responsible recreation, and provide opportunity for personal growth through the facilitation of impactful wilderness experiences. Lasting Adventures seeks to provide youth, families, and disadvantaged communities with positive experiences in America’s National Parks and natural spaces.

Whether marveling at a shooting star, topping out an alpine crest, or laughing with new friends around a campfire—the ultimate goal of our Olympic National Park summer camps is to share unforgettable moments in nature that inspire lifelong passions in youth and teens.

Lasting Adventures offers a 6-day Summer Camp for Children ages 11 to 13, a 6-day Backpacking Adventure for Teens, 6 & 13-day Young Women's programs, and a 13-day Immersive Teen Adventure that goes to the mountains AND the coast! All offer some of the most stunning natural scenery America has to offer: iconic trails overlooking the rugged Pacific Ocean, surreal woodlands draped in lime-colored moss, and waterfalls gushing crystal clear snowmelt are just the shortlist—spectacular wilderness abounds all across the Olympic range.

Olympic, Washington summer camps delve into the depths of the backcountry with insight and guidance from our experienced leaders, all of whom possess intimate knowledge of the surrounding environment. On most trips, we backpack every day but one, and we are on the trail for an average of four to six hours daily. Throughout the experience we take our time to enjoy the views and break at some pretty awesome watering holes. Each day begins with stretching and a discussion of goals and ends with a reflection on the day and appreciations before a satisfying slumber under the stars. We come away with an enlightened understanding of the natural environment, an appreciation for ourselves, connections with new friends, and a passion for the outdoors to last a lifetime.

    • My daughter went on the 6 day teen backpacking trip in Olympic National Park and absolutely loved her experience. She felt that Aida and Marina were excellent leaders. They did a great job welcoming and introducing her to the joy of backpacking. As a parent, they were highly responsive, organized, and informative. She's already looking forward to next summer's adventure!

    • Amazing Coastal Adventure Our 17 year old son recently did the Coastal Adventure 6 day trip in Washington state, exploring remote beaches, tide pools, sea caves and more. (Last summer he did the Olympic High Country Adventure trip, also in Olympic National Park. Both times he had an amazing time. Great guides, wonderful outdoor adventure of hiking and camping. He loved both trips! Highly recommend for teens who like roughing it, hiking, exploring and being out in nature.
