In the center of Italy, about 20 km inland from the western coast is the magnificent city of Rome. Rome is a very unique & remarkable city, with its hectic traffic, piazzas, fountains, fantastic restaurants and many other idiosyncrasies that make up its culture and atmosphere. If Rome is known for nothing else, it's known for its history. Walking the streets of Rome, visitors are reminded of its historic roots through Christian churches, Renaissance palaces and the Vatican. There is no denying that the history, architecture and art of Rome is engulfing to visitors! Most of Rome's major historic attractions can be reached by foot from the Stazione Termini (central railway station).
