    Overview

Each summer, Jewish teens (13-16) gather for a six-day, Olympics®-style competition. Teams participate in boys baseball, boys, ice hockey, girls volleyball, girls and boys basketball, girls and boys soccer, chess, dance, e-sports, swimming, table tennis and tennis.

It’s the summer experience of a lifetime, and JCC Greater Boston is proud to send its own delegation to the games! The 2020 Games will be held August 9-14 in Westchester, New York.

Our delegation also includes athletes competing in the individual sports of dance, table tennis, swimming, tennis, track and field and star reporter.

Athletes are chosen on the basis of their skills and ability to contribute to the team dynamic.

Every summer more than 6,000 teens participate in the Games. More than 100,000 teens have participated since 1982. The energy and excitement make it a unique and unforgettable experience for every participant, from athletes to volunteers, from coaches to host families.

The combined Games are the largest organized sports program for Jewish teenagers in the world, but they are designed to serve a larger purpose. The Games promote community involvement, teamwork and pride in being Jewish. Each athlete also has the chance to enjoy home hospitality and explore Jewish programming. Everyone wins by creating lifelong memories!

The JCC Maccabi Games are co-sponsored by the Jewish Community Center Association of North America, Maccabi World Union, Maccabi Canada, and Maccabi USA/Sports for Israel.
