The SummerTime philosophy is twofold, to introduce children to new experiences and ensure that they have fun! By splitting the day between specialists and general recreation, all kids get a chance to pursue known interests and expose undiscovered skills.
At SummerTime, mornings are filled with specialties like dance, circus arts, and music. In the afternoons, children entering grades K-1 engage in outdoor play and indoor crafts while older students choose afternoon electives ranging from cooking, sports, science experiments, and art in various groupings. Best of all, each child has the opportunity to participate in an exciting water game day, Waterpalooza, once per week. In the final week, kids in grades 5-8 will have the opportunity to go "daytripping," where they'll explore attractions in the Boston area. Trips run the gamut and include the following adventures: an outing to Revere Beach for ice cream and castle making, a scavenger hunt through the streets of Boston to visit underground locations like the mysterious Bodega, and kite flying in Brookline's Larz Anderson Park. The week closes with a climatic trip to Six Flags New England!
