Sports Communication is a key to one of the world’s most expanding and influential industries. The program provides lectures, presentations, writing projects, and experiential performances before some of our nation’s most renowned leaders in Sports Communication.
As a student in the Sports Communication Institute, you will:
Take a current issue in the sports industry and define, develop, and deliver an effective campaign to present in a mock press conference. You will either represent a ball club, the traditional print media, or the electronic media. Interact with and learn from some of the nation’s top industry professionals in the classroom and on field trips. Gain hands-on experience with various aspects of Sports Communication, such as media relations, public relations, community relations, entertainment, special events, traditional journalism, and the future of broadcasting.

Dates:July 5 - July 11, 2020 (including required orientation)
Move-out day for on-campus students: July 12, 2020 – by noon.
Sports Communication Presentation: Saturday, July 11, 2020
Costs per student:
Sports Communication Institute Tuition: $1,895
Residential Room and Board Fee: $528
Non-refundable program application fee: $60
Lunch, Monday through Friday, is included in the tuition cost. The residential option includes room, linens, breakfast and dinner on weekdays.
Please note: A non-refundable $500 deposit is required upon a student's acceptance of admission into the program. The deposit is to hold the student's seat in the program, and the amount will be applied towards payment of the total bill for the program. If the student later decides they will not attend the program, the $500 deposit is not refundable.
