The Summer Pre-College Esports Institute aims to help rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors get an insider perspective of the inner workings of the fastest growing sector in entertainment, sports and media - the Esports and competitive video gaming industry.
Emerson College is the first higher educational institution in America to offer an Esports pre-college program that focuses on providing high school students with the knowledge and insight to participate in the exponential growth of the industry. Esports has evolved from the console games into a multi-billion-dollar industry. Emerson's Pre-College Esports Institute aims to help rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors get an insider perspective of the inner workings of the Esports and competitive video gaming industry. This program will not teach you how to play video games but rather introduce you to the industry that exists behind the scenes and the types of career opportunities available. The Institute covers areas rooted in the intersection of technology, media, marketing, branding, management and broadcast fields.
