Students will make maximum progress with 20 fun and interactive language lessons per week. Classes focus on speaking and communicating clearly in everyday situations by building competency through conversation and blended learning. After class, join in on a beach BBQ, trivia or karaoke night, cooking class. You can even make your own perfume at Perfumery Galimard or cool off at the nearby waterpark. Over the weekends, explore Cannes, Nice, or Saint Tropez.

    • Having spent two weeks in Paris a few years back, and having already dubbed it my favorite city in the world, I was curious to find out if it could get any better. Unsurprisingly, the minute I walked through the doors of EF Paris, I knew my experience would be once in a lifetime. Just being in Paris is amazing, but the welcoming learning environment at EF was like none other. The school is very modern, equipped with technology and all sorts of resources for students. There are always about five ambassadors in the school lobby who make it their number-one priority to answer students' questions and organize events and trips every day for those who want to see more of Paris. The teachers are extremely engaging and knowledgeable. The classes were all amazing in the way they took the technical learning of the French language and combined it with French culture and history. Seeing people from all over the world come together and be united by French was awe-inspiring. I loved the way the classes were structured; it was a perfect balance between communication and correctness. Participation was mandatory, but never felt forced because the class atmosphere was so friendly and inviting, class discussion just came naturally. I remember having many open-ended conversations about topics ranging from French cheeses to the inner workings of a democracy. There were definitely many opportunities to explore one's creative side, while also focusing on one's intellectual ability. Everyone was so eager to learn that class was consistently invigorating and lively. Just being in a room with people from other countries makes you automatically want to hear the stories of their lives and compare them to your own. Meeting new people is definitely the main highlight of studying abroad (alongside the language and culture of course). Also at EF Paris, you can choose to live at the residence or with a family. Since I was only there for a couple weeks, I choose residence, but I heard from everyone living with a family that they were well taken care of and welcomed. The residence was wonderful, ten minutes from the school and nicely managed. I was in a dorm with three other girls, all of whom were doing longer stays, and the room accommodated us all easily and comfortably. It was also nice to have a kitchen and a common room at the residence, which allowed for time to connect with other students outside of school. But, the best part of attending EF Paris was without a doubt the trips to Parisian landmarks with new friends and the French language. It was absolutely amazing to be able to walk 20 minutes and be at the entrance of the louvre, or Notre Dame or L'Opera Garnier. To discover the language and the history of such an amazing city like Paris while simultaneously making life-long friendships was such a unique experience. I'll thank EF forever! There's no way I'll ever forget those weeks!
